This thick velour leather is custom-made using a 'combination tanning' process, where vegetable tanning is applied after chrome tanning. During the retanning and dyeing stages, lanolin is infused deep into the leather to soften its natural texture and create a supple finish. To achieve an exceptionally deep black, the leather is dyed three times with black pigment, resulting in a rich, profound color and an elegant aesthetic. The suede side features a natural, nap-like finish achieved through 'milling,' a technique where the leather is tumbled in an empty drum to raise the fibers. This is an authentic leather belt crafted with meticulous attention to detail at every stage of production.
