Beyond Time, Into New Expressions - WILDSIDE × PEACEMINUSONE
A closer look at the collaboration between WILDSIDE and PEACEMINUSONE, celebrating the 10th anniversary of PEACEMINUSONE.
This special collection draws inspiration from pieces presented in Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME’s Autumn/Winter 1991 collection, bringing together unreleased illustrations by artist Saeko Tsumemura and the daisy, a signature symbol of PEACEMINUSONE, to create exclusive graphic artwork.
By combining the design heritage of the past with the distinct aesthetics and identities of both brands, the collection reinterprets familiar forms and transforms them into new expressions.
Reinterpreting the 1991 Collection Through a Contemporary Lens
At the heart of this collaboration lies Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME’s Autumn/Winter 1991 collection.
Iconic pieces from the collection, including leather blousons, jackets, and coats, serve as the foundation for a series of reimagined designs. Preserving the distinctive character of the originals, each piece is revisited through a contemporary perspective.
The collection’s key piece, the leather blouson, retains the silhouette of the original 1991 design, with only the pocket design modified to introduce elements of workwear.
The leather jacket and wool coat similarly draw from the original designs, incorporating new interpretations through materials, detailing, and graphic placement.

Right: WILDSIDE × PEACEMINUSONE — Wool Long Coat
A faithful recreation of a military-inspired, double-breasted long coat originally presented by Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME. The softness of the wool lends the piece a distinctive character, while its commanding silhouette reflects the original design. From the buttons to the finer details, the coat faithfully reproduces the defining elements of the original. While the original was presented in navy, this edition is rendered in black. The lining features graphic artwork printed using a technique that recreates the printing process of the original era.
Designed to be worn reversibly, the coat offers a different expression when turned inside out, bringing the graphic lining to the forefront. By preserving the character of the original while introducing a new perspective, the coat embodies the collection’s approach to reinterpreting past designs for the present.
Where Two Icons Meet: The Creation of New Graphic Artwork
The illustrations by Saeko Tsumemura, whose depictions of women made a distinctive impression in Yohji Yamamoto POUR HOMME’s Autumn/Winter 1991 collection, are another defining element of this collaboration. For this collection, an unreleased illustration that was not used in the original runway show serves as the starting point. By combining the artwork with PEACEMINUSONE’s signature daisy, two distinct visual identities converge to create an entirely new graphic.
Carrying the Past Forward, Into New Expressions
Silhouettes inspired by the 1991 collection, the illustrations of Saeko Tsumemura, and PEACEMINUSONE’s signature daisy come together through the creative vision of WILDSIDE, forming a collection that bridges different eras and artistic perspectives.
