Rocky Mountain Featherbed
Founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, U.S.A. in the late 1960s.
Based on his knowledge of the outdoors and horseback riding, the founder was one of the first to use GORE-TEX®, the best high-tech material at the time, in 1974, and created items that became representative of the brand, such as mountain parkas with a single-piece leather yoke. However, in the late 1980s, when the brand was expected to make a further leap forward, it disappeared.
In 2005, Kinji Teramoto, one of Japan's foremost vintage collectors, spent years of research and trial production to create reproductions that surpassed the originals, and Rocky Mountain Featherbed was revived. Today, Rocky Mountain Featherbed continues to attract people from all over the world, transcending generations, by adding the essence of "modernity" while inheriting and carefully preserving its solid value.
