SUZUKI MORIHISA STUDIO
Nanbu tekki is a traditional cast ironwork technique from Iwate Prefecture, Japan, that dates back to the start of the Edo Period (1603-1868).
Suzuki Morihisa Studio has a history stretching back generations to when Iwate Prefecture was known as the Nanbu Domain.
Founded in 1625, the workshop will soon celebrate its 400th anniversary. Suzuki Morihisa produces nanbu tekki using traditional techniques which have been passed down through generations.
