Kié Einzelgänger was founded in 2016 as Ageless Einzelgänger LLC in Manhattan, New York. It was rebranded as Kié Einzelgänger® in 2019 before relocating to Antwerp, Belgium.
“Einzelgänger” - meaning a maverick or a person who walks alone in German - is a cornerstone of the brand's identity; this concept is emphasized in all of its collections. The brand also takes inspiration from the visual arts of the Interwar Period (1920s-1940s), particularly with regards to Surrealism and Dadaism. Since its very first collection in 2016, the brand has conducted persistent research on this period. It aims to borrow the aesthetics of the Interwar period and bring them into designs suitable for the 21st century, continuously applying classic elements to each creation.
