I wonder. When did I first realize that the leather jacket my father wore was a Schott jacket?
At the time, I mocked it as an out-of-fashion brand that older men of my father’s age wore.
As I grew older and my understanding of clothing grew as well, I came to appreciate its overwhelmingly real authenticity. Some day, I thought to myself.

With the brand’s iconic LEATHER TRACKER JACKET as the base, the jacket uses a thick, yet supple sheep leather.
When I tried on the cow leather the brand is famous for, I couldn’t help but feel that its distinct toughness was telling me, “You’re not ready.”
The comfortable suppleness of the sheep leather, however, reassures me that it’s alright for me to indulge.
The placket fastenings and pulltabs as well as the snap buttons on the hems and sleeves are uniformly black, making it easier for those of my generation to style this jacket.

The final product has been refined as befitting this collab, with a commitment to MADE IN U.S.A.
I want to wear this the next time I go home, and debate leather jackets with my father.
